Elle’s Studio and Gossamer Blue February Kits!

February’s Gossamer Blue/Elle’s Studio Kits!

Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by on our blog hop! I really enjoyed working with the Elle’s Studio products in this month’s kit.  They always seem to blend effortlessly with our Gossamer blue kits.. and her stamps are amazing!!

For this layout, I really loved the background paper, and I wanted to use the whole thing.. so I decided to make the rest of my layout very linear. I added some of the Elle’s studio elements to the left of my photo, and stitched them, quilt block style, to my layout. I decided to hand-stitch around the heart for extra dimension.  I layered some of the 3 by 4 cards underneath the photo with a doily to match the background paper.  I added my title B&C, from some letters and chipboard included in this month’s kit. I really enjoy how easy it is to layer all of the Elle’s Studio products and I still have lots left over for my Life pages layouts.

I hope you enjoyed stopping by today, and next on the blog hop list is Nicole Harper.

Page Maps

We were lucky enough this month to get to work with the talented Becky Fleck over at Pagemaps! She gave us some sketches to use with our Gossamer Blue kits and I was thrilled! I often rely on a pagemap to get my creative juices flowing.  I love how you can stay exactly with the sketch for a beautiful layout, or you can customize your page and end up with something that looks completely different! I stayed with the sketch pretty closely and I was happy with the result. For the one strip, instead of layering a strip over top of the background paper, I cut a strip out of it and stamped randomly underneath.. it was a fun way to add some extra texture. You can check out the rest of the Gossamer Blue’s teams amazingness at the gallery right here. Have  a great day, and thanks for stopping by! Naomi xoxo
